Ramsey Kid’s Safety Camp

Kid’s Safety Camp

Every June, the City of Ramsey sponsors a two-day, daytime Kids Safety Camp for up to 150 second and third graders. The goal of safety camp is to teach children how to prevent themselves from becoming victims of unintentional injuries. Through a variety of fun activities, professionals teach kids how to be safe around fire, animals, electricity, water, on a bicycle, and more.

Safety Camp is held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ramsey. The registration fee is $30, which includes activities, supplies, snacks and lunches, bike helmet, T-shirt, awards ceremony and ice cream social. Scholarships are available.
Registration is limited and is on a first come basis. The 2013 camp will be held June 25 – 26.

FREE Seminar for Parents:  Protecting Your Children in an Unsafe World

Just because we don’t see crime happening, unfortunately doesn’t mean it isn’t.  Criminals are very good at blending into the fabric of our ordinary lives and taking advantage of us when we aren’t looking.  Recent events surrounding the safety of our children in family friendly environments can attest to that.  

When not on alert, we have a tendency to overlook basic safety precautions, making us more vulnerable.  As a parent or caregiver, you are the first line of defense in keeping your children safe.   Law enforcement will be on hand to help answer questions.
